"From Scope End"
This is actually a painting that I worked on from a photograph that I took while walking in the Lake District, round the Newlands valley, starting up Catbells, then on to Maiden moor, High Spy, Dale head and decending back down via Scope End. The day started off bright and sunny, but by the time I started down Scope End the weather was starting to close in! The scene was awesome, but the photograph didn't do justice to the scene - looked moody and forbidding. So, I thought I'd add a little stray patch of sunlight with some sheep - taken from other photos! Artistic licence!
